We hope you and your family are healthy and coping with this unprecedented time in history. It has been a long couple of months and we are all looking forward to resuming normal activities such as periodontal visits to AIP, biking, golfing, golfing, and golfing.
We believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Due to social distancing and excellent work by the Department of Health and the governor, the Covid-19 virus is under reasonable control in Vermont. The governor has allowed dental offices to re-open on June 1st.
An AIP team that includes me, Dr. Shuman and Dr. Saqqal and the entire AIP staff has been working on developing a protocol for returning to work. We have evaluated the post Covid-19 recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition we have been in contact with dental societies in both Germany and Switzerland which expanded our knowledge base beyond the United States.
Utilizing all of these recommendations we created a protocol of steps to take at Associates in Periodontics for when we re-open. As you know we have always placed cleanliness and infection control at the top of our priority list. It is our sincere goal to always keep you and the staff safe. We believe this AIP protocol combines the best and most current recommendations available to keep us all very safe.
This is our plan. We would like your review, questions, comments and concerns. We will review them to tweak the protocol further as needed. We will also get back to you individually by email with answers to any of your questions.

We look forward to hearing from you and truly look forward to seeing you again.
