A few things have always been true about Hazem Saqqal – skill with computers, a knack for music, and a love for dentistry. As a child in Aleppo, Syria, a natural curiosity and desire to learn led to Hazem teaching himself both software programming and piano just for fun. After high school, he shadowed his older brother, who was working as a dentist, and set off to use both the scientific and artistic parts of his brain in dental school.
After earning his DDS in Syria, he began practicing dentistry in Saudi Arabia. Here, his passion for the field truly began to flourish. Deeply motivated and driven, Dr. Saqqal thrives on challenging himself, learning new things, and finding the best solutions for his patients. He saw the greatest opportunity to do all of that within Periodontics, and proceeded to pursue advanced training within the specialization at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. There, he earned a Fellowship, Master in Clinical Research, Master in Dentistry, and an advanced training in Periodontics. During his residency, he served as chief resident in the Periodontics department. He’s thrilled to be joining AIP – which he sees as a practice with a strong reputation and patient-first values.
Dr. Saqqal is adventurous, loves nature, and loves meeting new people and learning about their backgrounds. When he’s not practicing dentistry, he can be found reading, hiking, video gaming, and playing and recording music.
