Dr. Levi - Periodontist in South Burlington and Barre VT

Dr. Paul Levi Jr. was born and raised in Newton, MA, where he discovered his love of model trains, gardening, and the Red Sox.  After graduating from Hebron Academy and St. Lawrence University, he decided to study dentistry.  He attended dental school at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and upon graduation, accepted a residency in general dentistry at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, Vermont.  It was during this residency that he added Vermont to his list of loves, and decided it would be the ideal place to live and practice.
Dr. Levi joined the Navy as a dental officer and served in Great Lakes, Illinois, for two years.  He then earned a certificate in periodontics from Tufts School of Dental Medicine.  He and his family returned to Burlington to open Associates in Periodontics in 1971.  Since then, periodontics has not only been his profession, but also his passion.  and most loved hobby.  He has been active in the field locally, nationally, and internationally.
Among the many esteemed positions Dr. Levi has held are treasurer of the Vermont State Dental Society, president of the American Association of Periodontology Foundation, member of the AAP Board of Periodontics, and Examiner for the AAP Board of Dental Examiners.
He has taught at the Fletcher Allen Dental Residency Program, The University of Vermont School of Dental Hygiene, and currently serves on the faculties of Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, Tufts School of Dental Medicine, and the Universidad Internacional de Cataluña in Barcelona, Spain.  When not teaching, Dr. Levi practices part-time at Associates in Periodontics.  He lives in Burlington with his wife, Patty.
